Building Your Immune System With Natural Ways

The immune system is a complex system of organs and glands that guards against diseases and cancer. But it can only do its job when it is nourished and strengthened. Although there are many ways to build up your immune system, one can be as easy as spicing up your meals! Common spices that may be sitting in your pantry do more than just flavor bland meals.

The human immune system by its nature, except in people who were born with a congenital problem, is powerful enough to cure and prevent future cancer. However, in the vast majority of people in the modernized world the immune system has been compromised. This leads not only to premature aging, possible sexual problems, heart disease, and weight gain problems, but to cancer as well.

You may have heard about the disease called Diabetes, but you are not entirely sure how it actually develops. The truth is, your immune system or immune auto plays a fundamental role for the development of the disease. Before we get into details, you must first understand the main function.

The nutrient which is found in highly pigmented fruit and vegetables in colors of orange, red, and yellow. It is not a vitamin but it is converted by the body into vitamin A. Residuals not used by the body is converted to an antioxidant, to build the immune system by controlling the destructive free radicals, which can lead to disease.

Over the past few years, new medical breakthroughs have emerged claiming to be the effective treatment for cancer. Unfortunately, some of the common methods of treatment inflict detrimental side effects to the body. Numerous researches have shown that chemotherapy - one of the most common form of cancer treatment - can greatly weaken the immune system.

Although the researchers we spoke with panned most supplements, they all agreed that a multivitamin is well worth taking. If you have even a marginal deficiency of certain nutrients --particularly the B vitamins, A, C, E, selenium, iron, and zinc -- your immune system's function could be impaired.

Over the last several decades, nutritional supplements have evolved considerably. Research has uncovered much new information about the way nutrients work, and many new ones have been discovered which have added new weapons in the fight against illness and disease.

Sleep and rest are vital to maintain and build a strong immune system. How many of you rest, literally lay down and put your feet up, when you are tired? The body's anti-stress mechanisms, including the adrenals, get to breathe a sigh of relief when the body is prone and the head and feet are at rest.

Ayurveda gives us tips for daily routines and to balance each individual's constitution (dosha). Some of these include specific times of day for arising, bathing, eating, resting, exercise, meditation, and bedtime. Consistency is the key. Yet many find that sticking to a self care routine is challenging. In our fast paced culture there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day, which contributes to the vicious cycle leading to chronic illness.

Vitamin B2 or ribofalvin helps to convert food into energy by working with enzymes to turn fats, proteins and carbohydrates into a form the cells can use. Though it is essential for energy production, riboflavin helps to boost the immune system and rid your body of toxins.
